how popular are we to spammers?

Everyday, we are able to clean up an average of 300-500 spam comments. This number is just doubling each time we check it. As of today, here’s the result of Akismet Spams
Akismet has caught 200,758 spam for you since you first installed it.
whew!
However, we can say that we still have solid and real people commenting to our posts, although not the same number with the spams. You can just check it out. =)

hi anna,
you might want to install recaptcha tool on this blog. it will solve 100% of spamming problems. and you do not have to delete it manually. it just wont accept spam comments.
i used it on my blog and solved the issue.

there’s already tools to beat that captcha, so it is not 100% solution.
