You Never Gave Up On Me

I was searching for new videos in YouTube but I found this very old song and video instead. It was filmed during the first release of the song entitled “You Never Gave UP On Me.” It was sung by Crystal Gayle, a 70’s singer with a very beautiful voice and face. The video is very clear, even it’s kinda’ old and the song simply tells its meaning with so much feelings.

Sometimes, I wish that our singers of today would be able to deliver the true message of the lyrics that they’re singing. I’m a music lover who always looks at the message/lyrics of the song. And I would love to hear those wordings in a soothing melody. Here’s Ms. Crystal Gayle in her very inspiring song that we can all relate to.

The song was written and originally sung by Leslie Pearl in her debut album “Words & Music.” I prefer Leslie’s version of this song. If you search YouTube, you can find Leslie’s song.

I don’t know why Leslie Pearl never had much success as a singer. Since I can’t find any photos of Leslie and she never promoted her album, I’ve got to think that she didn’t have the “beauty” as Crystal Gayle so she remained behind the scene. It’s unfortunate because she’s so talented.

  i didn’t know that. I searched for Leslie Pearl and only now that I learned that she sung the song “If the Love Fits”.
