When I was a child, I used to spend my vacation in my grand mother’s house. My mom and dad would leave me for a month after the school year to accompany my granny with her plants and other household chores.

My grandpa passed away when I was 5 years old and I’m having a hard time recalling some memories with him. However, my granny would always share their stories each night, particularly during dinner. She would always mention my grandpa’s passion for crafts. After the meal, we would always sit down in the living room, and she will play her favorite songs of Tom Jones and Frank Sinatra with some variation of Barbara Streisand sometimes, while sipping her favourite champagne from the customized wine rack made for her by granpa.

I’m actually grown up now and my granny is already with grandpa. She passed away two years ago and we barely go to their home. However, she left me the records she would always play and some memorabilia like pictures and some personal stuff like her pair of pearl earrings. Other crafts made by grandpa and granny’s plants were left in their house and being preserved by one of our trusted care takers.
