Love Barry Manilow?
I’m a huge fan of the 80’s music and quite the 70’s, too. Barry Manilow gave me that reason to love the kind of music that only oldies can truly enjoy. I must say he’s an artist for all season and ages. With so many hits and top charting songs, there’s no doubt that Barry Manilow is still be the most favourite sound to play in every home, from various parts of the world.
On September 18, 2007, another great reason for Barry Manilow fans like me to celebrate is the release of his new album. Now, we can rekindle the music of the pop maestro with a little twist and thrill.
The Greatest Songs of the Seventies will definitely take you back to the old feelings with 18 most loved songs that he popularized in the seventies. Tracks include:
1. The Way We Were
2. My Eyes Adored You
3. Bridge Over Troubled Water
4. How Can You Mend A Broken Heart?
5. It Never Rains in Southern California
6. You’ve Got a Friend (Duet With Melissa Manchester)
7. He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother
8. Sailing
9. The Long and Winding Road
10. (They Long To Be) Close to You
11. If
12. Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word
13. Mandy (Acoustic)
14. Weekend in New England (Acoustic)
15. Copacabana (At the Copa) (Acoustic)
16. Even Now (Acoustic)
17. Looks Like We Made It (Acoustic)
18. I Write The Songs (Acoustic)
Though I still love the originals, I would still buy this new CD to hear how time changed and improved Barry’s wonderful singing voice. It’s definitely a date!
